The 1st XV head to Shoreham this Saturday for what should be another honest, hard-fought afternoon of rugby. Both sides know each other well, and games between us are usually decided by the basics: work rate, discipline, and taking chances when they appear.
Training this week has been focused on tightening up a few areas and keeping things consistent rather than reinventing anything. The group have kept a good attitude, and there’s a quiet determination to put in a solid performance from the first whistle.
Shoreham at home are always organised and physical, so we’re preparing for exactly that. If we stay calm, play our patterns, and support each other, we give ourselves every opportunity to put together the kind of rugby we know we’re capable of.
Thanks as always to everyone who travels to support — it makes a difference.
Looking forward to a good contest on Saturday.
